Appsfire prepares to open nominations for its third iOS App Star Awards
Got an iOS app you think can make the grade in the big competitive App Store world?

Well, if you're close to release, you might also be keen on getting additional publicity in Appsfire's third App Star Awards competition.

The app promotion channel has pre-announced that the contest is going live in early May, and you can now sign up to get an alert when nominations are open.

Calling in experts

Appsfire says it will review every app submitted, with the best apps going forward to be voted on by an uber-jury including writers from TechCrunch, GigaOM, TheNextWeb, 148Apps... and, of course, PocketGamer.biz.

As for conditions of entry, your app should be out during May and you'll have to submit a video of it in action.

The winner will get a new iPad, a free ad campaign with Appsfire, and the general publicity and goodwill that comes from being a winner.

You can find out more details at Appsfire.
