Klaas Kersting, CEO and founder of flaregames, as well as former CEO of Gameforge, has personally acquired an equity stake in Argentinian developer ZupCat.
Kersting has good form when it comes to investments, having been an angel investor in Supercell once upon a time, so it's a move that bodes well for the mobile games studio.
Wise investor
"Klaas’ track record is well established and his eye for talent is unparalleled,” said ZupCat CEO Franco Breciano.
“His investment and guidance are both very valuable to our studio and we’re working hard to ensure we live up to the expectations that we all have for our company.”
As for Kersting, he evidently believes that ZupCat - already one of the leading indie developers in Latin America - have the potential to make hits on a worldwide scale.
“ZupCat is a wonderful up and coming mobile studio with all of the qualities needed to become a leading game developer in the mobile games industry,” he said.
“I’m confident Franco and the rest of the team will be wowing mobile gamers in the near future with the games in their pipeline.”
