G5 Entertainment revenues hit $45 million following purchase of The Secret Society

G5 Entertainment has released its financials for its Q4 FY17 for the three months ending December 31st 2017.

The company posted revenues of 358.6 million Swedish krona ($45.1 million) for the quarter, up 93 per cent year-on-year. Profits also grew by 75.6 per cent year-on-year to 13.8 million Swedish krona ($1.73 million) for the period.

However, the company did end up with a negative cashflow of -7.4 million Swedish krona (-$936,000). This is due to its purchase of hidden object game The Secret Society.

Users in the open

Users were up across the board, with MAUs rising 74 per cent year-on-year to 8.9 million for the period. Average monthly unique paying users also grew to 331,400.

G5 now boasts a monthly average gross revenue per paying using of $42.70, up 14 per cent year-on-year. Overall, free-to-play games now make up 99 per cent of the developer's revenues.
