Outplay Entertainment refreshes its brand with new logo and focus on "limitless fun"

Dundee-based mobile games developer Outplay Entertainment has refreshed its brand with a new logo and a focus on "limitless fun".

The developer partnered with design agency JDO for the rebranding. It has resulted in a new logo and a refreshed website for Outplay.

The rebranding caps off a successful 2017 for Outplay, which has grown its revenues by 1,904 per cent since 2013. As a result, it was the fastest-growing technology company in Scotland in 2017.

New visual identity

"Our new visual identity captures the spirit of the business and is uplifting, approachable and authentic. It also guarantees heightened visibility to ensure we continue to thrive in an ever-evolving games industry," said Outplay President Richard Hare.

"From the very start, our goal for Outplay Entertainment was to be associated with fun - and fun is different for every single one of us. Our focus going into 2018 and beyond, is to better understand what this means for all of our players globally. We want gamers to recognise our brand, our titles and feel connected with our studio."

Outplay is the owner of Derby-based developer Eight Pixel Square, which it acquired back in December 2016. The studio recently surpassed 1.5 million downloads of its game Sniper Strike in its first two months of release.
